Texas

Incognito, I've used Dr. Byrd (yes, her real name) an avian vet at Northern Oaks in San Antonio, on the NE side of town. I made two different round trips all the way from west of Fredericksburg, so an Austin to S.A. trip for you should hopefully not be a problem; it will be worth it to get help for your chook. If you decide to re-home her, knowing her medical condition will be important for anyone who wants to adopt her, too. Best of luck!

Hello fellow Texans! I live in the San Antonio area on .3 acres. I just adopted an old Brahma roo and we have 5 hens. I’m excited to have finally found a local thread. Any tips on where I can find a rehoming local page? My mom is looking for some hens to adopt. I recently deleted Facebook and that was my only local connection to the outside chicken tender world. 😂 🐓

Maybe try craigslist or posting flyers at your local AG stores. Welcome to BYC and the Texas page!
