I signed up for chip drop in austin about 2 months ago and haven’t received anything.

They say they deliver here, but I put in a few fake towns, (ie janieville, tootlesville, etc.) and they say they deliver to them too. I'm not even sure they are delivering anywhere now.

My understanding is that they make their money by charging tree companies for access to their customer list. Tree companies would then use the list to avoid having to pay to bring things to the dump. So there's a bit of a chicken and the egg problem in any particular area.

Update just now (10:25PM CDT Saturday night)

Hurricane forecast is very, very likely to occur in the next 24-36hrs. (My gut feeling)

Good afternoon y'all! My second girl laid her 10th egg today! The others still haven't started, but maybe the cooler weather will encourage them to get started.

Most times. Some will join in and sing with her.

I've got a flighty bunch this year and they lay an egg and run out of the coop screaming. Other flocks were much more civilized and would stand in the doorway to announce.

Mine sing all day long. (They don't carry a tune well either)
I should get so many eggs!
I have a multitude of roosters and cockerels but I swear the hens make more noise.

Thats the truth! I've often wondered how many people get reported by their neighbors for their "rooster".

This is all so new and egg-citing. I hope we never take this process for granted.

My huge number of cockerels has been reduced by 30 or so. I let all the mixes go for free and had some one come get them all.
