The show is this weekend in college station, are your birds NPIP tested ??? Thats a must, & yes the show will have cages all set up & ready to go for the exhibitors.

When you get there look for a tabe set up, The people there will give you a number, that number is your ID. (10 for example) so the judges & people know what belongs to whom .

All the cages that have your (number 10 ) you put your birds in,the cages will also be labled by breed & color variety, so you know what breed goes where.

Is this your 1st time showing ???

yes my chickens have been tested two months ago, the reason im not gonna make for the exhibition show this weekend is because my yoko tail has more to grow .
I think the grange will be my first time in a chicken exhibition.
here is my most recently video of my yoko
you can see its tail is not full grown yet.

Gallo,
I know nothing about Yokhams but they look absolutely gorgeous. I thought it was hard keeping my little silkies feet clean, I can not even imagine trying to keep that tail clean!

Kim

the hard thing is keeping them healthy, they're really weak birds .
to keep the tail clean I keep them in large dog kennel the bottom is 4 inches high from the ground cover with some chicken net to let all the dirt falls

Well, we decided we're leaving tomorrow evening to head to the show instead of waiting until Saturday so we can coop the birds in tomorrow night.
Looking forward to seeing all of you that will be there-don't hesitate to come say hi to me or my husband(he'll be running around with Call ducks and a couple of crazed screeching Sumatras(this will be their first show)-you won't be able to miss him).
Getting excited!
Sure hoping that I might get lucky enough to pick up a couple of nice birds there, as well!

Congratulations, Pigeon! Great job and absolutely beautiful birds!
It was great to meet you and your family in person.
Way to go to you as well, Peggy! Congrats!

Hi Everyone!

My husband and I had fun at the show today and are glad we got to meet Kacey and her husband!

Everytime I go to a show I fall in love with more kinds of birds... so now... I need to convince my husband that we have room for Calls, Runner ducks, and ... OMGoodness, I am just crazy about Cochins now... plus, of course, I loved all the little silkies --- there were a couple that looked just like my little Ashes (RIP)...

So, how did everyone's birds do??

I went to the chicken show I didn't have the chance to meet everyone there,I had to leave early cos my wife got a little bit sick.
im glad to hear everyone had a good time.
id like to thanks PEGON again for sharing some of those beautiful sumatras.

Kim, I am so sorry I didn't get to meet you at the show.

I was really looking forward to it. I was the idiot that was maniacally watching the Call duck judging and wringing my hands.
Gallo, I'm sorry your wife wasn't feeling well, I was looking forward to meeting you as well. Pigeon told me you had had to leave early and I was probably trying to get my birds cooped in and didn't get to meet anyone until that was all done.
My birds did OK, I was proud of them, anyway.
I did get to meet some really fantastic folks that I have no idea if they are on the forum or not.

Gallo, you need to show us some pictures of your new birds!
My 2 Sumatra hens were so well behaved, it was ridiculous! I was so proud of my little Athena-she showed herself just beautifully.
My husband's ducks actually placed better than mine(think I'll ever live that one down

) but I was really proud for him! My husband got a 3rd with his little white Call cockerel-just FYI, I was surprised because that little guys name is Mr. Piglet-he doesn't love to swim.

Our Pyncheons got BV, RBV and 1st-course they were the only 3 there, but we didn't care, we were proud of them!
Overall, it was a great show and we had a blast!

Hi everyone!
We had a good time at the Bluebonnet classic. Not only did we get a chance to meet SAKim and her hubby Frank, we also met Bearing1, and his wife too. I looked for others, but couldn't find the "clues" we had. Sheila.... I didn't see any call t shirts, or a moron cap for Billy. We did look at all of the beautiful pigeons.... I never knew there were so many types ! Those ones, with the huge chests and tiny skinny legs.... wow. they are something !! Must have a whole different concept of balance !!

I have some new ideas on what to add to my flock.... faverolles!! Brahmas !! Cochins !!! oh yummy

Hello everyone,

I went to the Bluebonnet Classic this weekend and got some great results. Texas birds will be in the Poultry Press!!!! Little Creek Farms Black Faverolle cockerel took CONTINENTAL CHAMPION and the Black Faverolle pullet took RESERVE CONTINENTAL CHAMPION! My Black Copper Marans cockerel took 2nd place and my Wheaten Marans pullet took 1st place and Best of Variety.
So very proud of my Faverolles taking the top two rewards in their class, as this is the first time they have ever been shown. Exciting!

How do we post pics here and I'll put a few up?

Pamela
