They're due May 7th!

So if I'm unable to find someone to sell me Maran chicks (I'm just so impatient - definitely a character defect of mine

I'm thinking of buying an incubator and a little while later hatching eggs from MyPetChicken and trying to hatch my own. How difficult is this? and do any of you recommend buying hatching eggs?

Have you tried posting a wanted ad here on byc?... or maybe posted that you are looking for chicks (eggs) on one of the Marans threads?
If you are looking for quality Marans eggs / chicks and are open to having them shipped (and paying for shipping)... I wouldn't think you would have any trouble finding them here on byc.

I did post an ad in the "wanted" section; so, I'm just (impatiently waiting right now. I've contacted several people also, but, so far, had no responses. But I'm not going to give up easily!!

I just had some of Hipeatall's barred olive-egger eggs hatch yesterday. Adorable, chubby, little things. I'll try to take some pics and post later on.

I wanted some nice Orpingtons and not "just" hatchery birds and I ended up having to build an incubator and get eggs in the mail. Only got about a 50% hatch rate making each chick kind of expensive, but it was worth it in my opinion. Anyway, I got to learn new stuff
