Ok so I wasn't a lot of rain at all but it was nice and my ducks sure enjoyed being in the pool while it was happening

So I want to call my "farm" of 15 acres, 27 chickens (adding another 31 this week), 1 rabbit (will probably get more this year for kids to start showing), 4 dogs, 1 donkey, 2 kids, and 2 nephews the "Chunky Dunk." Do I have to go thru some some of "formal" requirements with paperwork or do i just start referring to our place as The Chunky Dunk??? What has everyone done? And, yes, there is a story behind the name . . . Also posted this under the topic "managing my flock" since I had no idea where to post this type of question.

praying for rain!!

nope, not for business purposes. Just for our own use. My friends already tease me about having a chicken ranch (or at least they did before my neighbor's dog got half my flock:( ) and they think it's especially hilarious that I want the name of "The Chunky Dunk" . . ."we don't skinny dip, we chunky dunk!"

Sounds like you just need to have a nice farm sign painted up and you are good to go.
I have a feeling you will have some fun with that!

Supposed to storm here tonight! Sure hope so!! Looking suspiciously like rain now but then it's done that so many times, I just know it won't.

My black Orp boys crowed this morning! 10 weeks and they seem to have it down pretty good, though they do sound a bit hoarse. So I listed a couple on Craigslist. Hate to see any go but I haven't need of any more than 1 rooster. Really hard to choose who stays! I want them all

Anyone in the Houston area got room for a baby chick? I will be in surgery next Tuesday and can't take care of him. He is a strong little man that was the only hatcher out of 30 eggs! AND he hatched on day 29!!! Let me know please! PM or email me please! He is so cute and I really want him to go to a good home!

Hey everyone!!!! As my son would say: We "gotted" RAAAAAAIIIIN!!!!!! WOOHOO!! Not much (couple inches), but it'll do!!!! I posted a question under "Managing Your Flock" if anyone wants to chime in. It's titled "4 sets of chicks from different breeders." Any advice?

Ya'll have an AWESOME day!!!
