Hey everyone I recently moved to Texas from California and I had to sell all my chickens

But I refuse to go back to store bought eggs! I was wondering if there was anyone near Sugarland who would be willing to sell me eating eggs, from their flock, on a regular bases. I went to the farmers market and had bought eggs from a nice lady but I don't like only being able to buy eggs one day a week early in the morning. I don't care if they're organic or not as long as your girls are happy and healthy. So if anyone here would like a regular costumer PM me

If I were closer, I'd love to share some eggs with you but I'm north east of Houston. If you come up this way, send me a PM. I usually have a few dozen in the fridge.

I'm up in NE Texas--Lamar County--and new to chickens. I've just about completed my chicken tractor and wondering if it's too late to get my pullets and expect eggs. I don't mind keeping them in the light and heard that if I maintain 12-14 hours of light that there should be no problem. I have talked to a couple of other people in the area, but they didn't seem to be very knowledgeable about this topic.

We're outside of San Antonio, looking forward to meeting anyone else close to us. Have American Games, OEGB's & now 4 Wyandottes, also raise Painted Desert sheep.

Yes, you can still get pullets and expect them to lay. Early layers start laying at 16 weeks old. All the breeds I have start layig between 20 and 28 weeks. The light will be really help as all hens are sensitive to the hours of light in the day. Some breeds lay better in the winter than others so that will play into things too.

Add one. We live in Von Ormy Tx, which is on the county line with San Antonio. Have many breeds and are getting ready for spring. we wiill be selling eggs and breeds of chickens fairly locally. Our latest hatch are Sweedish flower hens and have more Coming. So nice to have people near that care and nice to have found you! Paul

We used to live not too far from you over on Highway 90. I'm in Uvalde county now but would love to find out what different breeds you have or will have for sale. Swedish Flowers are beautiful so I'll to put them on my wishlist!

@Amarisus I'm in Missouri City.. So basically the Sugarland area! Right now i only have 1 regular layer, the other one is a couple weeks behind her...But if i get another layer this weekend, i would be happy to share with you!

Nice to see the San Antonio Area people on. I'm also just outside of SA, south on 37. For my first flock I have 19 Pullets and 7 Mallard Ducks. The whole batch is 16 weeks old. Dyin for my first eggs!
