uh oh- now everyone is going to want your eggs. There will be little Mr Frizzys all over the US. Hee hee, which wouldn't be a bad thing.

Really? I have 12 Mr. Frizzy eggs right now, ready to become chick feed.

You should consider more auctions.. Your babies are beautiful, and they are strong and healthy, and cute and funny, and sweet and beautiful. Make a couple bucks toward chicken food, and make someone very happy. I'm tickled pink every time I see the babies. They had scrambled egg yesterday... and all of them were eating out of my hand- even the little yellow scaredypants who usually hides in the corner when I open the brooder.
I can't wait to see what their coloring will be when they feather out. Tomorrow they will go on a field trip to my neighbors house- She's going to love them, for sure.

I WANT A FRIZZLE HEN.................

If you lived near me I would give you one! I make them!

I'm not really that 'near' I'm in Solvang, CA (between Santa Maria & Santa Barbara) You might know of that little Danish country town...that's where I live...LOL (yup real people do really live there in Danish-land) LOL

We went on a field trip today!! All the way to the center of the backyard!!
The one silkie immediately laid down on the grass, leg out, sunbathing.

Mostly they hung out by the box I brought them outside in, or on my legs, which was why I couldnt get too many good pics.

One of the frizzy babies, who does't seem to be frizzing, but looks alot like it might be cochin- well she managed to find a worm. and she gave that "I got something" squeal, and started rning around like crazy. Some of the others finally realized it had something good, and the chase started. But they gave up quickly. By the tme I got the video camera turned on, the worm had been slurped up.

My neighbor came over today to see the babies, and she was picking them up, and telling them " aww, I like you already", and promised them treats when they get a little bigger. She really got a kick out of the frizzles, and the different colors.

In this pic, the silkie is chasing a bug in the air. And you can see how frizzled the little ones are

So sweet...we are probably going to venture into the back yard tomorrow for the first time...I wanted to borrow an X-pen from a dog lover friend of mine, because I was a little nervous of having them take off in different directions and some crow or hawk swooping down before I could do anything...(good imagination huh?)

It's amazing how much they grow in just a few days time. Here they are today ( and most were nice enough to stay still)
The first one to hatch- I can tell this one from the others because her beak is half black, half yellow:

Those are the cutest little things! I'm so jealous. How on earth do you get anything else done? I'd be holding on to & playing w/ those little chickies all day.
