Here is my lovely Blue Thai Stag that I rescued from a local animal shelter. He was dumped there at around 2 months of age, probably because he turned out to be a Roo. He is now 1 and half years old and we named him Phoenix. He is very affectionate and an exceptional guardian Roo. He chased away the neighbourhood cats and even a pesky hawk from our yard that was bothering my Old English Game bantams. Thai Game are a beautiful breed, with a high pitched crow, long legs and neck, and are lean but well toned with lovely tail feathers that stream behind them when they run.

Thanks Sumatrass. He's a bit larger now, as that photo was taken a few months back. His spurs are huge and his tail feathers are a tad longer. But he's a gorgeous specimen that some breeders in Australia will pay $200+ for. I don't know if that's the same overseas.

I love this thread! It's so nice to see everyone sharing their photos of Game fowl. I never believed they came in such a wonderful array of colours!

I have heard though that this breed in particular is a 'fighting breed' due to their aggressiveness. Has anyone else found this to be true, or found it difficult to handle their boys? I know that Phoenix goes crazy at intruders to our yard like neighbourhood cats, no matter their size.

yeah your right about the price and the gameness. I only have 2 Thai pullets they just started laying im very exited about that, I did not think they would lay during the winter so i was not expecting that it was a nice surprise, this is my favorite one.

She's beautiful, I bet her feathers glow in the sunlight! I think if Phoenix saw her it would be love at first sight.

What's her name and how do they refer to her colouring? Is it simply Black Thai Game or is it more complex?
