thank goodness they don't have teeth, lol

Shiners are well, shiners. That is the actual accepted common name, although there are a ton of diffenert species. Emerald shiners, golden shiners, spot tail shiners, etc. Most bait shops will also sell fathead minnows which are usually the cheapest bait fish they sell. Here in Kentucky we buy them by the pound for like $5. Any place where crappie fishing is big will have good prices on baitfish.

Well, my wife and I are going fishing in the morning so when I went to the bait shop I bought 6 dozen crappie minnows for the chooks.

I now know for sure that chickens are decendents of rapors because when they got a taste of those fish they went INSANE!

Usually when I have treats everyone will grab one and run off to eat it. Not this time. It was chomp, gulp where's the next one!

The weird thing was how there chirps changed. Their sounds became very sharp, low pitched and loud, particularly the roos.

Thanks for the tip on the minnows. I think my crew has a new favorie treat
