I was out in my front yard this morning tilling and raking when I heard a bunch of birds screeching and yelling like crazy. I looked up and saw what must have been 4 or 5 birds chasing away a hawk. Man, it was a sight to behold! My respect and admiration for mocking birds had already skyrocketed after I saw one chasing my neighbor's cat past my house a week or so ago. Now, I'm thinking we should change the symbol of our nation from eagle to mocking bird. [IMG]

It's good to know those MBs got my girls back. [IMG]

That's why you shouldn't kill a mockingbird [IMG]

We have hawks, crows and mockingbirds, seen daily. Maybe this is why I have never seen a hawk near my chickens.

I feel the same gratitude to the killdeers we have here. They make so much noise my chickies just run for the shelters I put in their run. Which is covered btw but they don't get that.
