Well the adventure continues and as it happens one of my Bramans is a rooster. Rudy does a fine job and all of my girls seem to be happy and well managed (by Rudy).
Eleven hens and never less than 6 eggs per day usually between 8 and 10. Can not seem to get rid of them fast enough. This egg laying went on through the winter and straight on till today (10). We had an 8 degree and 9 degree day with snow for a week. Auto water system froze solid and they still kept laying. Too much fun.
I will post some pictures of my coop and auto systems soon. I set it up so I can leave for as long as a week without worrying about the girls. Or Rudy.
Thank you all for the great advice and encouragement. It's just not that hard.
