Aww...i love parakeets!!!

Yeah...im on BYC for the fun of learning more about chickens and having fun with my "chicken" friends!! Im not here for badges and posts...but if that's what i get...then i'll also be happy...lol!!!

Many are not here for recognition, either, including me, but it's just a side effect of being part of the family over a long period of time.

BUT WOW!!! lol 68 000 posts is A HECK OF A LOT!!!!

Yes, that also sort of just happened, not something I ever tried to do, but a natural result of daily participation on the forums, trying to help folks with issues, having fun, telling about my experiences, helping others avoid feeling guilty when things happen with their birds that were beyond their control, etc.

You could, sure, but you don't have to do that to be a big help to people here. If you have some knowledge in a certain area that someone needs help with, offer that. If you just need to offer sympathy to someone who has lost a valued pet, do that. Just be part of the family. It doesn't have to be forced, just a natural thing.

BYC has been an invaluable resource for thousands of people, myself included. Happy that you are enjoying it!

Yeah..but like i meant like i heard somewhere it ias a bit of cash ot keep the site up and running!! So i meant help financially!!! But i do also want to help in the way you say!!

speckledhen is my hero and her example of constant super friendly and helpful advice over the years is something for all of us to aspire to!! There are a lot of members that post a lot, a lot of members that help others, a few members that have been active since the beginning, but speckledhen is the rare perfect combo of all of those things!!
