Thank You speckledhen! - Stepped Down as Forum Moderator

As many of you know, our beloved friend speckledhen has stepped down as a moderator.

We expect (hope) to continue to see her around as an active member of our wonderful community, but she needed a break from the stresses that come with moderating such a huge and diverse community.

We are quite sad about the loss both personally (she's a great friend, incredibly witty, fun to joke with in our staff section, etc.) and as a super valuable and helpful member of our team (she really knows our community, is very insightful, excellent at dealing with forum problems, etc.). We know it is impossible to replace her... which is why we would welcome her back into our team with open arms if she ever chooses to return.

speckledhen is an amazing member of this community and has provided countless hours helping members directly, via posting in the forum answering questions, and indirectly, via discussions and assistance behind-the-scenes as a moderator. I've repeatedly told her that she has no idea how much impact she's had on tens of thousands of visitors to this site and the millions of chickens they care for.

Please take a moment to join us in giving her a huge THANK YOU!!!! for all that she's done for us, our community, and our chickens!

Speckledhen is a marvelous person. Witty, smart and so much fun to have had on the team. We will miss her terribly on the team, but are very happy to know she is still with us on the forum.

She has been a rock on the Staff. Always ready to help when needed and always put in 150% in all she did.

I can't say much that hasn't already been said. Cynthia, you helped me tremendously when I became a mod, and for that I will always be grateful. You have been a great friend. I don't believe your impact on BYC can be overestimated. You have given the community a huge amount of time, effort, and wisdom, and helped many, many people -- and chickens!

We miss your wit and insights terribly in our staff section. You will never be replaced, and "thank you" can't be said enough. We won't stop hoping that one day you will see your way to return. And I wish you the very best on your new journey.
