I can't go to downtown because of the lockdown. Lucky for me I have enough groceries for 2 months and I have lots of eggs but I am now running out of commercial feeds, rice bran and corn. So right now I use shredded banana trees and fruits as extenders for the rice bran. I also feed them leftover rice and vegetable trimmings. What do you feed to your poultry now we have this crisis?

Where are you at?
Amazon is still delivering all around here.
And there's still plenty of places still open that sells feeds.
We're under a stay at home order but we are still allowed to take care of our animals which includes getting out to buy feed and stores that sell it are still allowed to stay operating.

I bought enough food right away, enough to last 2 months. Delivery people are still working as far as I know. They can't cut people off from getting products they need to survive. And all the states I know of are allowing people to get groceries. Wallmart sells chicken food, at least here in Minnesota they do.

Don't forget they are omnivores and can also benefit from meat, bugs, etc.

Peas are high protein and when paired with rice can provide many essential amino acids.

A little scrambled or boiled egg added into their diet can also provide many nutrients... just don't feed them excessively and long term as they are 34% protein and 64% fat... with almost half the protein being found IN the yolk.

I'm SURE things are different in the Philippines... here in the US our major farm and feed stores are still open but doing curb side delivery/pick up and with shortened hours... also accepting credit only and not handling cash to minimize... the nastiness spread by the ever so lovely dollar.

Hang in there... this will pass! :fl
