2 barnyard mixes and a silkie have been added to the brooder.... and are screaming their collective heads off
I have a male BSL that piped, zipped, and popped up in his shell but he hasn't absorbed his yolk yet, he looks pitiful flopped over but.... not helping him. The other male BSL that appeared to be dead in shell has been confirmed dead, he had a ton of fluid in his inner membrane.
There are 2 more barnyard mixes that have popped shell and are flailing about, same with a silkie. Have another silkie and a RIR or BSL in the process of zipping.
Even with the retrieval of the free chicks the temp and humidity have stayed dead on.
Now for a long night of nail biting and refusing to run in there every time I hear something.
