I have 10 hens and one rooster. Mia Sparkles (granddaughters got to name one each, so that’s what you get :)) is pretty much the lowest on the pecking order. She’s a SLW, but with unusual markings. Anyway, she gets chased away from the feeders and waterers by the “more important “ hens. Yesterday my Light Brahma was doing his business with one of my BO hens, Patricia. Mia Sparkles shot over to the mating pair, planted a quick peck on Patrica’s head and dashed off to safety. I had to laugh out loud. I guess you have to be an opportunist when you are #10 of ten, am I right?

That’s too funny! Good for her!
I am surprised that your Wyandotte is lowest in rank... usually those gals are on top... I had one that was just a bully so I rehomed her...
I have 3 SLW hens. Nanny McFee is the top hen and she’s living up to her name. She’s been broody for weeks now but still maintains her status. I kick her out of the nest and she puts all the lower hens in their place each time. The personalities are fun to see.
