Thats not your designated roosting bar.

OMGosh! Hahaha my young OEGB bantam cockerel did that! I was having kittens trying to find him in the pen I know I put him in!

I finally looked up and there he was sitting on the power cord looking me! Silly turnip!

He then proceeded to teach his sister to do that! Brats!

And sleeping with his heading hanging down to boot!
I was trying to figure out how the coop camera got moved. I didn't even know she was up there. Scared me when I saw something over my shoulder 😬 The next night there were 2 more up there. Hubby fixed it though.
Lol, they sure can be funny 🤣

I spent almost 2 hours looking for two six week old chicks one evening. They were in a secure coop and run and I couldn't figure out how they got out without me noticing. Finally after checking every nook and cranny im the run, I went back into the coop and recounted again. I still didn't see them. Then as I was leaving I glanced up and they were roosting on the door frame. I don't know how they managed to fit there.

Yep mine have recently said heck with the roosting bar, and they all roost on the trusses. I knew that’s where they were going to end up.

My first group of chicks three years ago definitely helped me find all the places I needed to block off or rearrange.

Bucket rim (which did have a plastic tray to keep them from falling in at least).

Electrical conduit and thermostats

And fans. I had to move them off the fan every night for several days until I figure out how to block them off while still allowing air flow. I was a so worried about unplanned pedicures.
