The “right” feeder.

When we got more chickens, I added another feed station using the Amazon pre-made ones. A few pellets will be pulled out of this new bucket (in photo) which I've since raised higher for my Roo's sake.
I also added one of those green/blue ports onto my original feeder. That green/blue port on my original feeder is the one that really spills out when they eat. But the original black ports never spill out.

Like the port that I have they have slots in them. Did you cut holes inside the pipes or you left them whole?

I think the difference is the length between the opening and where they access the feed.
I also noticed that, since I have the green feeder on 2 different buckets, the bucket that sits higher (the opening is higher) spills less than the one that sits lower to the ground.

You are on the right track.

Only our second year and hubby made me one of these. Game changer. Holds 100 lbs of food and they dont spill at all. None.

Just make one of your own I used those blue ones from Amazon too.

Advice is to get a tough bin not thin plastic so it won't Crack. This one will last us many years!
