Love the kanga-roo! Years ago when I took piano lessons, there was this song:
In the land of Let's Pretend,
There lived a Kanga-Rooster
Half of him was kangaroo
The other half was Rooster.
He could jump and he could crow
Flap his wings and tap his toes!
In the land of Let's Pretend
There lived a Kanga-Rooster!

Oh my, I was 10 years old when I learned that!

I didn't create it, its a reference photo I found online. I free-hand it, but I didn't design it. I almost always use reference photos.

I use an H graphite pencil for the pre-sketch. Recently, I have been doing a lot of stuff with a black pen.

Not sure how I feel about it. I definitely messed up on the eyes. Gosh, I really wanted to do Auggie justice! I will look at it again tomorrow. Perhaps my refreshed eyes will see a masterpiece

Its definitely true MOST of the time.

I do really love the horse I did a while back though. I still can't believe I made it!
