I'm going to have chicks running out of my ears if everything goes right. I still have eggs coming and I just ordered chicks this morning, luckily my mama is going to take half of what I ordered this morning.

That is very good news!Well, you guys remember those duck eggs that I accidently cooked at 103F-ish overnight on day 1? They survived!

It is great that timing worked out well for the hatch a long!Okay, I said I was gonna try, but now I'm officially in! I had eight Nankin Bantam eggs in my new incubator (actually a replacement for a Nurture Right 360 that the turner went south on ... luckily under warranty!) Out of the eight, six were duds - probably due to the brutal cold before I collected them. One was viable and one was questionable, so I left it in. Well, the "questionable" egg just hatched! Meet Pippin/Pippi! He/She entered the world about fifteen minutes ago.

I NEVER get tired of watching a hatch! We still have one egg left in the 'bator, and it's due to hatch tomorrow. I'm hoping that Pip's peeps will motivate the other egglet to get a move on! I'll keep my fingers crossed.
Either way - sibling or not, the 'bator works and I have time to clean it out before Set-Day on the 30th. I'll have Nankin bantams and a handful of Porcelain D-Uccles - 12 -18, depending on how I configure the turner set-up. So yes! I get to play and stress and hope along with everybody else, this year. I am SO excited!!!!!
That does sound like a nice mix of bantams to hatchI'll be setting the following bantams:
5 EE
4 Mille Fluer D'uccle
2 Golden Neck D'uccle
2 Porcelain D'uccle
2 Silver Laced Sebright
3 Golden Laced Sebright
Should be a beautiful bantam flock if the hatch is successful.I can't wait!
