I am in Florida and have bad humidity issues. I used rice in a cup. Also, silica packets from medication bottles work well too.Question. I turned my incubator on today to make sure it would work. It has been on for a few hours. So my question is how do I get the humidity down? I have no water in the incubator and right now its at 65%. I live in Louisiana so we have high humidity here. I know to add water to get it up but I'm not sure on how to get in down. Its a still air incubator. Thanks
I would divide them for sure! I have used tomato container for keeping chicks separated
Ditto above. I use the smaller plastic grape tomato/berry boxes for just one or two eggs I want to keep separate. Helpful hint: Put a paper towel in the bottom as the slick plastic is a recipe for splayed legs.
The extra humidity for a couple of days will be fine.I wished I had planned this better. Day 21 on my first attempt at incubation will be March 29& 30. Will it mess up the hatch if put a few new eggs in there? Or would the humidity be too high for new eggs?
