The 10th Annual BYC Easter Hatch-a-long!!!!!

Candled a few of my eggs this evening. About 30 of my chicken eggs tossed 3 clears.
About 20 quail all were veining.

The turkeys eggs I set a week late only 2 of the 6 were fertile. But those were the first eggs they laid.

My quail eggs are developing well! of the 37, it looks like 3 clears and 1 blood ring.

33 still going for sure and some wriggling embryos

I candled my eggs this evening. I think I have 7 clears and 3 bloodrings but I left them in for now (Day 10). Had another 4 or so eggs that are too dark for me to see in. The rest seemed okay ( out of 27 eggs).

The buttons are hatching! Might got some coturnix next week love quail!
Darent take out my 2 easter hatchers that look as though they stopped developing... Will give them a few more days and see. The eggs are so clear! They look like little beans.

Day 10. Just pulled 3 out of 17 eggs. 1 infertile, 1 early quitter, and 1 the aircell was on the side so the embryo attached to the shell right at the top. The good news is I've got 14 Marans eggs looking strong with verified movement in them! I probably won't check them again until lockdown.
