Day 1:
I'm thankful for BYC, God (As in the godhead), access to healthy foods, it's snowing, my family, chickens, singing, joy, the fact that it's almost Christmas break, the ability to maintain optimism, peanut butter, chocolate, Inky, and my house's heating vent system.

That was probably more than ten. Oh well 😊

Dec 14, day 1: Think of 10 things you are thankful for and share them on BYC (this thread would work great), social media, or to a friend or family member!

1* My dog Lettie who is also my best friend.
2* My family.
3* My friends here on BYC ❤️
4* The Lord God.
5* The ocean.
6* Being alive.
7* Living near the sea
8* My church
9* Music
10* My new earphones.

Day One - I'm a little late, but here goes. I am thankful for:
1. my loving husband and family;
2. reaching retirement age, and having enough finances to do it;
3. my safe and warm home;
4. my pets;
5. a new grandchild on the way;
6. getting to see my grandchildren every day;
7. technology that allows me to access information instantly, see movies, play games, easily communicate, and manage my life;
8. getting to live in the beautiful USA;
9. my trustworthy and comfortable SUV;
10. a full and plentiful pantry, enough to share with others less fortunate.

... And my penance for being a day late posting on Day One, I get to do it again:
11. coffee
12. chocolate
13. ice cream (I want to hug whoever invented that)
14. nice clothes & warm winter gear
15. snow and sunshine
16. the peacefulness of nature
17. new calves in the pasture
18. new incubator for chicks in the spring
19. medical science
20. Backyard Chickens forums and friends!

Unfortunately I can't do day 4 (Here on BYC anyway) but I might do some variation of it IRL!

Pretty sure I can complete the rest though. We'll see, I've got a pretty crazy December ahead of me.
Same idk if I might not be able to do a couple of them but I will do all the ones I can.
Christmas is crazy, but this activity is completely flexible!
I'll be living on the road so I'll scramble to do what I can when I can!

10 things I'm grateful for!
1. The opportunity and miracles that aligned to allow my family to live on the road and travel the USA for a few months
2. That we found good foster homes for our family dog, cat, and rabbits
3. My family, we make a great team!
4. That my parents made the decision early on to homeschool me and my siblings
5. The educational opportunities I've had and the amazing people I've met though them!
6. That I've lived by my grandparents my whole life and become so close with them
7. Books, ebooks, and audiobooks!
8. My pets. I miss them, but love them just as much
9. The awesome birds I've been able to see recently, like the roadrunner, dipper, and California Condors!
10. My amazing friends, who it hurt so much to leave. Winnie the Pooh's quote sums up great: "How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard"

And now to go greet some new members!
