The 2010 Census

any body get duplicates? you fill out just one right? so will they track the duplicate? obiously, I got two!

I read this thread and remembered that my census came today.
I went and opened it and found there were only asking the names, birthdates and races of everyone in the house and whether they lived here full time or were in college housing.
The only other thing was whether I owned or rented my house.
I filled it out and it literally took me 5 or 6 minutes to fill it out for 8 people.
I don't know what the other one is but this was not invasive at all.
I thought I got a census years ago that was more detailed.
This one is not any different than the one I fill out every year for my town.

The numbers they get from the census doesn't raise your taxes or result in them taking more of your money... they already have your money. Filling it out and saying you are there puts in a tally for sending that money to your community, instead of sending it to the neighboring one who did fill out their things and put the mark saying they are over there.

I love that someone in 100 years will be thumbing through the data that we send in now, thinking "my, how things have changed".

I'm just peeved that it was ME that ended up with the long form this time. There is a total of 100 questions. That is not a 3 minute job and it steams me.

Even though I didn't want to... I filled it out.
Only question I didn't answer was the phone number...
I just don't give it out, no matter who is asking, unless I want to.

Community center or your school. You take a test an the highest scores get the jobs for that community.
