River swallowed hard. She certainly did not want to go. "Yeah, I mean, what would I do, force myself to stay awake? Heh..."

"I'd hate to make you do that. Uh, hold on." River said, and walked back into the house, grabbing a water for Phoenix and walking back outside. She handed Phoenix the water. "What was I saying... Oh right, um, I think me and Lucas can handle it."

"Ok, cool, do you know what the slayers looked like? asked Pheonix shifting uncomfortably.

"I only saw one of them in human form. She had black hair, black clothes, lots of makeup, bright eyes." River muttered.

I walked put Sierra and Sunny on their leashes and walked down the street. There was one house with a bunch of smashed windows. It looked exactly like Lucas's....

I walked up to the door and knocked, adjusting my coat.
