Thank you. I will check out your profile and see. By the way, is that a flame point Siamese in your avvy? It's so cute.

No he was not but had the same markings and body frame as one he was actually a barn cat at a local dairy farm that I worked at that was really sick as a kitten. I rescued him and took him to the vet. He was killed by a neighbor dog several months ago and cannot bring myself to remove him as my avitar.

Mumsy, we need to get more over here for the hatch a long..it gets crazy busy and impossible to keep upon posts.
I will do my best to encourage people to play. It's nearly impossible for me to keep up with 'The Natural Chicken Keeping Thread'! I gave up trying to keep up with the Washington Peeps Thread! So many people. So many chickens! Not enough incubators!

I was up to the wee hours researching on Genesis 1588. You and aoxa are influencing me! Hah! My husband is going to say, "The money you spend on another better incubator could buy you a lot of Catdance eggs!" GAH!

I was wondering the same thing
Wait a minute! I was just looking at the calendar, and realized that we have our McMurray chicks coming on the week of the 8th of April, and last time they hatched on the Saturday before, which is April 6th, and that is only 1 WEEK after this hatch-along ends!

HOORAY!!! I can join you all!!!

Yippee!!!! I am so excited! This will be my first hatch-along!

Let's see, I will be setting at least a dozen Delawares, and a dozen or so Ameraucanas, and possibly a few Olive Eggers from our one BCM who is in with our Ameraucanas right now.

Yeah more the merrier. Yeah
Wow, this is some big deal! How do you decide who wins? I'm wondering if there's anyone here in Canada willing to sell/ship hatching eggs to me in Ontario for this event?
There usually are folks on here from Canada. Check the thread "Where am I? Where are you" Here you go I found you two threads. I am also going to PM them to you, Shellz

Quote: I bought the LG-- for $50 at the feed store. I've hatched a lot of chicks in it. If you gt the LG look up the LG support threads--lots of help on how to use this incubator and get good results. IT is not a set it and forget it type. I suggest turning by hand if you only have one incubator as the turner puts off heat and you must turn that off at lockdown, so the temp will drop. THis may not happen with other machines--IDK other machines.

Will there be a sign up page again this year?

You know, where we put our names and say how many eggs we set then post the picture to confirm. Or do we just post along with this thread where it gets impossible to keep up? The kids and I are excited for another Easter hatch.

Will be setting Blue Plymouth Rocks. Guess that means I'll have to start collecting eggs about February 28th. Gosh also have to cull my second rooster soon so he's not in any mix but some good gumbo.

I'm thrilled to see so many old faces I haven't seen since last spring on the Easter Hatch along, and the number of new faces is wonderful-- new people to meet and talk chickens!!!
