I set 7 eggs from my own flock on 3.10, does that count? They should hatch on Easter Sunday. Or maybe April Fool's day.

What a bummer Oz :/ hopefully the eggs for your mad dash will arrive safe & sound! My vc friend told me those Reese eggs are spectacular.

My broody abandoned ship on day 3 so I am officially out of this hatch along too. But I am still living vicariously through all you hatchers

I have cleared 10 roos from my big pen..... scary huh! They were starting to harass the ladies. Kept 2 (in addition to the orps and hrir boys in the other pens) ... so how many chickens can I add??? LOL.

Crazy girl!! I did that a couple of times, but my coop isn't big enough to sleep in without getting in poop, so I stopped that kind of hatching. I figure one day he'll be too senile to care.

What you said (ages ago) about your husband and the clouds brought a tear to my eye. Maybe, if I one day become an auntie (definitely not a mother), I hope my nephews and nieces will look up to me like your grandchildren look up to you. The only thing I can offer is information about chickens. Maybe I should start reading up about clouds, that sounds fascinating. Could I pop over and you give me one of your talks? I can bring some eggs

Morning everyone - update on the broody - we have 5 little ones this morning... 2 black ones, a gray one, a stripy (as my niece calls it) and a yellow one! They sre all sooo cute... the yellow one has "stuff" stuck to her. like egg pieces and possibly a bit of yuk.... do i leave it? or do i have to wash it off... doesn't seem to be bothering it.... but the chick itself doesn't look at strong as the others
