That is hilariousBe careful what you wish for... Last year (Lord I hope he doesn't see this) DH did all this stuff in the bathroom, big bubble bath, rose petal soap, candles, a teddy bear, beautiful card, left me in there alone to relax alone with no kids. Sound nice? I sat there mentally adding up all the money he spent, and all the chicken things I could've bought with it. Instead, I smiled and said how thoughtful, and lovely it all was. For a solid year I asked for chicken anything, statue, knick-knacks, keychains, chicks, and as of yet, NOT A ONE!! Some men just don't get it!![]()
Happy Valentines Day!!![]()
Anyone getting (or giving) chicken related gifts?
My chicks are set to hatch today! Happy Valentines Day! I have not had any pipping or anything Im Worried......

Hello Everyone, My name is Seth and I am fairly new to BYC I have been a long time lurker and I love the information provided here on this website and its forums!
This will be my first *real hatch*, I would love to join in on this myself. My silkie Roo "Him" just passed away two weeks ago so right now I am trying to hatch out the last 6 eggs that my girls layed right after he passed... But I want in on this too! Going to have to get me some fertile eggs though. Oh the breeds I would love to set!
I hope its not to addictive! I already want to hatch some of the fancier Orpington colors, Marans, Welsummers... Ok that goes on long enough on its own. I built a "Cooler" Incubator I am doing this with my four kids. If this is too addictive there will be no voice of reason to stop me![]()

my kids always wear hand me downs or i go on craigs list, i refuse to pay ridiculous amounts for clothesRaz-- buy as much second hand clothing as you can, and baby blankets, too. ( Blankets are for laying the baby on the floor NOT for in the crib) The babies grow out their clothes VERY fast and into the next size. Cloth diapers come in new designs, wash and hang to dry = much cheaper than years of disposables. Lots of ways to cut costs. Find a mothers group to connect with, and get hand me downs from those friends. I often find a bag of childrens clothes under the hay tarp! lol
