Ohhhh boy. Fifty pages behind. I hope I haven't missed anything too important!

So, would an incubator do alright in a room that is cooler? I've read that you should keep them in a room that doesn't drop below 70 F (21.1 Celsius). After consulting with my mom, I've found, much to my chagrin, that the best place (and about the only place) I will be able to set up my still air is in my room, which hovers between 63 and 65 F. I'm much more comfortable in a cooler environment, and I have an arctic draft that comes in off my basement window, but I think what I'll have to do is cram a blanket into the window and see if I can't bring the heat up in my room. I would rather not endanger any eggs I'm going to be keeping in here.

The good thing about all this is that I can be sure none of the house pets are messing with the incubator while it's on. I fished a few unfertilized eggs out of the back of the fridge today to do a dummy test over the next couple of days..........wish me luck

No frozen water here, but we're supposed to get snow tomorrow. Ugh, mid 70's to snow in one day.

Haha sorry, but that sounds like Utah on a regular basis. Good ol' weather keeps ya guessing. But I love it, it's home

Side note, I once worked with a kid from Wyoming for a summer, and we were caught out in this freakish rainstorm one day. We ran into the hay barn and he was dead certain we were going to be stuck there for a while. I just told him to wait for a few minutes and it would be gone. Sure enough, five minutes later, it stopped raining and the sun was back out. Fun stuff!

Great chick pics Sally! Always interesting to see some new variations too. Kudos to your daughter as well!
oh its not a new variation! It happens its all genetics and 100% from tailed serama..... I am researching and coming up pretty much empty handed!!

I've incubated in my 60* basement . Wasn't with still air though.
