& the easter hatch along. You are sure to find great enablers here. All you have to do to enter is post here which is what you have done. Stay tuned to the thread for additional info such as contests, sign up forms etc. You can subscribe to this thread in multiple ways. On the bottom left or top left of the screen you will see... "Get notified when others reply?" Click the down arrow and choose how you want to be notified. Site only will post the thread and reply # on the home page, or you can get notified by email etc. Beware...many posts a day here. I check it several times a day.

Welcome to the fray Rebecca, I believe by the standards here just saying you want in is getting in. This looks like so much fun eh? This will be my first hatch a long as well.
You should say Hi and introduce yourself what kind of chickens do you keep? What are you thinking to bring to the hatch a long so to speak, Im doing home eggs of Barred rock crossed with everything and TJ dark fertile eggs with my brood, Uh family.

Ladys and Gents of the hatch a long,
I prose to you a question- Should I Or more to the point "Can I" get away with painting the outside of my home made cooler 'bator?

I was really keyed up to paint on it this morning but the more I think on it the more worried I am that it might affect my hatch- what do you guys (and gals) think?

I have never done a hatch along before! Now to stalk the Hatching eggs forum and decide what I'm ordering... I just set 15 Tolbunts and 12 lavender australorps but I have another incubator! I am building coops and runs for each. If all goes well then I will have a few lovely flocks to sell from next year!!! I have had mixed Easter Egger chickens for a couple of years but caught serious chicken fever

Hi everyone,

It has been a long time since I have been on here. Working full time, going to school nearly full time and running the homestead by myself leaves me for not much time for anything else.

Anyway, I want to join the hatching frenzy and will be hatching: chickens (astralorp mixes); muscovies; mallard mix ducks and standard bronze turkeys.

Somehow I will figure out how to juggle them all so they hatch around the same time...muscovies will need to be in this weekend....ack

...I better get moving!

Good timming for my Broody girl Been stealing eggs from her for a month since we had no roo now she wont get off the Fertile eggs .
She started yesterday does that count ?
