Alright guys, I'm fixin' (technical word in Alabama) to buy a new thermo/hygro-meter. Does everyone agree that the Brinsea Spot Check is the one to go with or is there something better? I have four cheap ones and don't trust any of them.

The Spot check is only a thermometer. I would get it because it is very accurate.Alright guys, I'm fixin' (technical word in Alabama) to buy a new thermo/hygro-meter. Thank you! Got both the glass probe and digital reading the exact same, the thermometer that is on the bator reads 95 with 80% humidity digi reads 65% and at 99 degrees! And the glass therm is reading 99-99.5!I'll check it in the morning. And I accidently put too much water in! Also should I remove one or both of my vent plugs?![]()
Wow, I've missed a lot with being gone for a few hours! Got my new computer and I'm not sure I like the Windows 8. It will take some time getting used to. Hope everyone had a great day
Quote: I'm thinking of getting one of these my self. This what I have now and I have two and both read different.

Quote: Sounds like you thought the same..nutrient deficiency, but, it still does not sound right. A whole nest of duck eggs and all the chicken eggs in one day?

Quote: I would think it was a 4 legged thief but the lady insisted they were eating all the eggs and have been doing it for months. I just find it so unusual for chickens to do that. Unless they were starving they might. But if they were they would not be laying and nothing to steal. Nutrition deficiency might make them break an egg here and there, but not for months. An egg contains tons of nutrition. I think 4 hens could get what they need off one egg. Just is confusing and interesting.
