Looks like I will be buying hatching eggs for the Easter Hatchalong... my girls are just being lazy...or stingy... or both. I've contacted a couple folks about both Serama and Silkie eggs (the Silkies are local, just right around the corner from me)...I may end up hatching both breeds, I'm still in decision making mode LOL!

Looks like I will be participating in the Easter hatch a long Although I may be day ahead of you guys or so in setting my eggs. For those that don't know I am supposed to be receiving hatching eggs from Bargain "Garry Farms" on the forum, 12 silkie eggs. The same week and hopefully with in a day or so of each other I will be receiving 12 RIR eggs from Horstman Poultry. Keeping my fingers crossed both work out and ship next week as planned.
This thread is mighty long! I have read some through it, but like I said it is long I hope I can keep up.

Admittedly, their is a local breeder with hatching eggs and I have really been thinking about grabbing just a few. I haven't even started hatching eggs or having chickens and already getting overly excited. I have room for around 10-15 chickens right now, so I really need to STAY AWAY! The run will be extended another 10 ft this summer though.

Was only going to hatch my own eggs, but I'm thinking I might need to hunt up some Wellie eggs. I don't have enough Wellies.

Thanks a lot. My chickens are packing their bags and have just informed me they're moving to Mr. & Mrs. Oz's.

I lied, the chooks aren't packing, Gardeningmama is. Tell Mrs.Oz to set an extra place at the dinner table. I just looked at your pics...paradise. Who on earth owns a water buffalo? Oh, that's right, people that live in PARADISE!!
