I would remove the male from the female after they are bred. The male will often time kill the babies or the female will kill them herself if she feel threatened by the male or other animals. Sad but true!!!!!!
I didnt know they were female/male. When i looked at them they looked the same. We are separating them today. they didnt look like they were killed, more like they were frozen. Will they kill them somehow that we cant tell by looking at them?

Most of the time they will eat them and you would never know they were there other than the from the hair missing around the females teats which she will pull out just before giving birth to them......Sometimes they will just abandon them and the elements will kill the little "pinkies" if she has another batch of babies (which takes only about four weeks 30 to 32 days) leave her be for the first week till the pinkies get fur and open their eyes. then introduce yourself slowly a little at a time over the next week after that all should be fine. Sorry for the loss.......
here is a good site to learn more or just refresh your memory.....

I had an appointment this morning (that I was late for) and while we were sitting in the office talking to the lady the wagon train went by. Apparently it's time for the SLE rodeo. I hate that I'll miss the rodeo this year, but mom couldn't get tickets for us to go.

The laptop is down again. I may not be back online for a bit. I need to take it apart and fix it better than last time.

How sad-- sorry for the loss. Now you know and you can plan for the next time-- you know rabbits, there will be a next time. Maybe she was too young to manage this time . . . .and next time will go better.

Only one cochin doing nothing in the bator...... I just checked the one with the feet over the head, he was stuck like that since yesterday morning but I didnt want to compromise the rest for him, and now I feel terrible about it.
I'm sorry. Chances are it wouldn't have made it anyway. Every time I've helped a chick out, I've ended up putting it down later. So I look at it as if they can't make it out on their own, then they weren't supposed to hatch. I still get sad, but the happiness of the others makes up for it.
