It finally came... My Brinsea Octagon 20 ECO Incubator. I swear that UPS guy took FOREVER!!!!! But it is here, washed out and plugged in

. Now I wait to get eggs from my Silver Ameraucanas

or do I?!?!?!

We had tornado's here in DeKalb county Alabama yesterday. We were out of power all afternoon and night and my incubator with 20 cream legbars and 14 sulmtalers were at 72F degrees by the time power was restored despite being wrapped in quilt. My parents had some damage at their house and I will go up this morning to clean up for them.

Glad no one was hurt! Those tornado's are scary things for sure..so unpredictable as to where they are going hit.

Yay my EE laid her first egg today! she is my favorite chicken so I am tempted to incubate it but I should probably wait until this batch of eggs hatches before I start any new ones lol

Whew! Have caught up on more than 4K posts within three days after nearly a month of neglecting this thread!

Have 40 eggs set - majority are production reds, a couple hq RIRs, and a handful of RIR/BR sex links. First time hatching chickens! Candles a handful the other night and I saw veining! Will do a more thorough candle either day 14 or 18...
