Haha, understandable.

I'm a bit of a gamer myself, as well as my DH. Thankfully I've been very lucky that when I need to film (I use his phone) he's not needing it & not in the same room when they zip.

It looks like I'm seeing two different hatches. Or just different angles? Btw, when you do have the sound on I can hear finches. <3 Zebras (though I've a pair of Socieities/Bengalese, atm).

haha, zebra finches and a canary. i didn't realize the sound was on. better turn that off in case my husband starts loosing (he gets pretty foul mouthed lol) what you might be seeing is either my live turkey hatch, or my pre recorded chick hatches, the chick hatches will pop up automatically if my webcam goes offline.

We just received the greatest news of our lives:

The petitions for adoption for both our kids are finalized.

We are now officially parents.

Its still a 6-9 month journey to get them to the USA but its really happening

one chick hatched already! I checked around lunchtime and there was still just a big pip- by the time I got home from picking up Easter Flowers from my daughter's high school FFA program, the little feisty SS chick was out already! I thin I'll name it that "Feisty"...or "19" or something to signify that it hatched on day 19 and quickly too!
I took a pic of it, but can't get the computer to realize I put a memory card in to upload pics...will try again later.
Good Luck everyone!!!! I think this hatch is going to be days long for me...yikes.

Are bantam girls any quieter than standard? Both of those roosters are very pretty! I'm going to need the ultra low profile hens. I have my few new pullets in a neighborhood that doesn't really approve, but it looks like I'm about to move into a neighborhood that *really* doesn't approve! My husband asked how many chickens I was going to try to get away with.. As many as I can! of course lol. But the quieter the better.

I have no idea. Cricket is my first bantam. We got him from a local breeder as a companion for a lone hatch (the rooster he fights with now). He is an untufted golden duckwing araucana. The big rooster is Dobby (formally Dottie), a mix from the white leghorn rooster we sent to freezer camp last week and one of my red sex-link girls.

Just put 44 on lockdown, they have big air cells. Hope I didn't keep them too dry. None of the BCM were fertile nor the green eggs. Also, must have had one of the four buckeyes not fertile. So, 44/75. Not too good but would be nice to at least get a 50% hatch. Proud that several of the lavender orps I bought are looking pretty good right now. I was so upset early on when they didn't look like they would develop but they have. I think I only culled 3 of the 18 lavs. There were 3 that looked like died in process. Good luck to all the rest of you. Sounds like some are doing really good for lockdown.
