Sorry the eggs have not pipped-- might be early yet.  A slightly low temp will increase the time to hatch.

I have an LG-- everyone said it was crappy-- it was really about how to work with it and find what works. I hope you will take this as a challenge and set some more eggs, perhaps just from your own flock ( not shipped) and perfect your budding skills.

Before you  fill it full of shot-- sent it my way!! DH will have a fit-- but I promised not more setting  eggs after May 1st-- he forgot tosay no more incubators before May 1st  though! lol

I actually did have dome of my own eggs in there (some Ayam Cemani which always have a 100% hatch rate). I have many incubators, including a Genesis and a Rcom 20 Pro. But those incubators were targeted for customer orders so I was forced to buy 2 new ones and went with the Brinsea 20s.. I took a look at the digital thermometers (not built in but high accurate thermometers from Incubator warehouse) in those Brinsea incubators. Both had fluctuations of high and low temps all over the map. I just think the Brinsea 20 Ecos are bad products or there was a problem in production.

If I hadn't used some of my own eggs, I would have said it was the shipped eggs. But they developed but did not hatch. I also have been hatching non stop using my other incubators since the beginning of the year with no problems. So this is not my first Rodeo. It will be my last experience with Brinsea.

For those that had many pips at wrong end of egg:

Did you manually turn or was this happening with auto turners too?

My hatch was bad this year and I had many malpositioned chicks. I've manually turned for years now but after this am seriously considering getting a turner and was looking for info from those that had same thing happening.

Reading through during hatch it seemed there was many at wrong end. Who knows, maybe something to do with the blood moon for all I know.
Two of the three that pipped in my eggs were at the wrong end, Brinsea mini adv, auto turner, local eggs. They were all also very low or underneath the egg. One died in the shell, never zipping. I helped the other two after the membranes got icky. One it was like the membrane and whatnot were glue. But, I got her an opening and she eventually hatched. They looked lovely. The female was apparently a runner. She bolted for the edge of the table when I lifted the lid to tend the other chick and took a flying leap off the edge. I tried putting her in cups and whatnot, but everything I did, she escaped and knocked over. She did not survive the night.

Gilgamesh is in the brooder with a feather duster. Truly an epic hatch this year, and not in the good way.

Congratulations everyone on an AMAZING effort this Easter!!! :hugs  And for those still waiting, don't give up! Today is the day of miracles after all...:thumbsup

Mine aren't due until tomorrow but I think I've really messed them up... But miracles do happen

Finally, I have a pip! One of my Khaki Campbell eggs pipped overnight. I have a total of 9 in lockdown. My Bresse eggs are on day 23 1/2 and and still nothing! Last night I saw at least 3 wiggling but still no pips! No action at all on the Call ducks. My patience is on it's last leg! I would have candled the Bresse eggs this morning but now with the KC pipped, I won't open the bator. My temp is holding at 99.7 and humidity at 63%. Hurry up chickies and ducklings!

Thanks for the reply Happy Chooks! I trimmed the little hanging bit off with scissors (it was dried out), and put chicken-safe Neosporin on the little red bump. I'll keep an eye on her, but she's getting quite lively and I think she'll be just fine (heck, it could be a he!)

In other news, I have my 3rd pip. My first pip was on Friday, which was a little early, as I set Saturday at about 2:00pm. I had one hatch Saturday at 5pm, one Sunday at 5am, this third pip happened Sunday at about 8am. I am using a styro-bator, and have been monitoring things closely, but I think I may have erred on the cool side out of fear of baking the chicks. I think maybe things were just a touch cool (maybe -1 degree), and it slowed my hatch down a little. I am being patient and not messing with the eggs. Every time one hatches, another starts peeping. My fingers are corssed that the majority of the 12 eggs still in there are on their way out!

Aw Whoops... I am sorry. I feel your pain. I have one chick so far and 4 still under the Rumples. I am hoping that they hatch today!!
