The 2014 Lyrid meteor shower is expected to peak in the early morning on Tuesday, April 22, from midnight until dawn -- it will continue to be visible through April 25.

Found this when I googled. Looks like we all have a chance for some clear skies.

Went out for a bit with my teen and the telescope and we have clouds in the NE sky.... going to try in another 2 hours!

Meteor showers? What meteor showers. Have been looking. May be a bit early. Will get up early in the morning..later morning than this, and take a look. Maybe tomorrow night will be better.

Final count for me 24 hatched out of 48, not bad. 50% hatch rate. They are so cute! Pictures to come!

4 out so far with one internal pip, think I have a delayed hatch due to the temperature maintenance issues my incubator is having. Wish I had more than one accurate logger to use for 3 incubators - I was hoping once they were callibrated I could just run at the proper knob position but the setting appears to get shifted at the very least whenever the lid is lifted to candle/remove. Can't wait to build a single large incubator!

Nothing from under the broodies yet (but I didn't count them for the HAL). I have 7 consumate sitters and one who still ups and leaves her nest at night.
