I haven't been on much the past couple days & just skipped a TON of posts (Ron, your Daily Digests are a lifesaver!), but my babies finally have their runs up & finished enough to enjoy the sunshine!!! It's been over 2 months since they have been able to get outside at all. Hoping this will get everyone laying finally...plus it should help my electric bill since I won't have to run lights constantly for them now.

No, you haven't been on lately..missed you here..so glad that you got that done. Bet your chickens, ducks..what every you have out and about are happy too! Hopefully they will start laying for you again. Wow, you have a lot of wooded area around you, don't you..what kind of predators do you have to worry about?

I still have just the one chick. He hatched yesterday morning, and the two remaining eggs that made it to lockdown still have not pipped. I *think* today was hatch day, 21, but when should I start to worry if I don't see a pip?
I always worry on my lunch break. When I get home from work, if nothing has pipped, should I take him out of the incubator? He was pecking at the broken egg shells this morning and seems hungry. I'm afraid of shrink-wrapping the other two, if they're still alive.
I guess I'll have more to update on once I get home from work :p

SALLY, JUST NOTICED YOUR AVATAR... LOL LOVE IT!
