Ive got chickie!

My only non shipped homebred this time around. My EE bantams first egg/chick!
Also have 2 pipped silkies and 3 pipped ams. Im worried about one of the ams though. She looks to have hit a vein.

Hopefully not a big one.

Congrats! I am looking forward to my first homebred this fall..at least I am hoping I can keep my rooster, and he does what he's supposed to.

I ordered from the fabulous dmrippy, who does an eggstraordinary job of packing. Now if only the USPS will cooperate!

Ok, a lot of you are going to think I'm the crazy one..but I'm not sure here.

With all of this talk about about coffee..whew...it sounds addicting! As much as hatching..lol.!

I used to drink coffee once in a while while I worked at restaurants, but not much. I think I am glad I didn't get "hooked" on it though, from the sounds of it here. Really? People need coffee to be themselves?

Also tried the smoking thing back in the 70's...soooo glad I didn't like that!

I have eggs!!!!!!

got the call at 6:30am this morning from the post office!!! YAY!!! 14 Beautiful English Orpington eggs!! I have never driven so slowly in my life!! Well, except for when I had my first born and drove with her for the first time. Eh I think I even drove faster then lol!! I have THREE more boxes coming in the next two days! EEEEEEK!!

So they are now in my basement. I am also checking the temp in my closet upstairs to compare the basement to the closet and see which would be better for "storing" them until Saturday's set time!!

Good for you...mine are on the way!!

Think of it like any other kind of caffeine withdrawal - you suffer headaches, brain fog, low energy, etc. as a result. Then you feel better after you get your "fix" in. If you have a nasty headache you are probably going to be groucho maximus until it goes away.

I quit coffee cold turkey a few months ago and no headaches or anything.

I'm also a Hyperbole and a Half fan, and no you probably shouldn't use her character/artwork for a t-shirt (or risk getting eaten by monsters) but you can use this one:



I just made it on my computer "in the style of."

Easy enough to load the image up to Zazzle or somewhere so people could put it on whatever they want... We'd just need to find out what BYC's rules are.

Now that..says a lot about humidity! Doesn't it? Mama hens and birds are always getting up and still turning eggs while some are hatching, and pipped.

This harsh, never ending winter has delayed fruit flowering to the point that it will all be safe if we don't get another hard freeze.

Agreed on the kissing a person who smokes. Been there done that. And good for you! No coffee, no withdraws. Must not have been drinking too much.
