Since it has taken me all day to catch up on the posts I lost my multi quotes, but here's a few I remember

To the person asking about the blind chicken. A few months back I passed on buying a pair of salmon Gabrielle because the roo was blind. I saw that same pair two weeks ago with new owner and no longer blind. Want to know what the problem was? Ear mites! That could explain the weight loss your seeing also.

Courtney Caleb, thanks for the pics and please keep them up! It's beautiful and huge! Or maybe you have toddler hands???

Ron glad to have you and looking forward to updates but almost think they need a seperate thread

So that they are easy to find?

I could do that!

Happy Happy Happy Friday !!!
Good morning to you all!!
I hope everyone is staying warm in all this freezing cold weather across the states. It has been a crazy year weather wise here in middle Ga. In the teens and 20's a few days a week then a couple days later in the 70's !! Plants are starting to bloom then, bam froze agian! I do not know how some of you guys take it up north! I wonder if all this crazy weather has anything to do with the polar shift that is going on?
Stay safe, stay warm , and have a good one!

I am in PA, single didgets Herr this morning. Up north here we use everything we have. I have been on wood stove duty since before Christmas. So I get up several times a night just to keep the fire hot. Other than that, the secret is layers of clothes. Not necessarily thick layers, because more thin layers create pockets of air and help to keep you warm. But yes, it has been very difficult here this year. I got up this morning and had to thaw pipes to three sinks and the tub.. Not fun.. I'm sure it is even worse further north than here but their houses are built a little differently due to more cold from what I understand.

Thanks about the thought of ear mites... Not the issue here though.. She had an eye injury that turned into an infection. Don't know if the infection went to her brain or what but I think she can see some shadows but not much. She is doing well in her little inside cage though. Molting has started for her. We put her on the floor daily so she can stretch and explore if she wants to, but most of the time she just sits down and stays in one spot. It would be nice if her blindness was temporary but I am not too hopeful about it....

Oh and by the way, GOOD MORNING EVERYONE! :)

Good morning.
I see there are a few of us enjoying the cold. It's 0* F here, but the sun is shining, the sky is blue, and there is no wind, so it's tolerable.
