You are most welcome! Sally and Mike are doing a bunch of work too!My soon to be silkie's eggs are on day 19!!!!! I am hoping to be able to share baby pics sooooon!
Decided to save bantam eggs for one of my broodies. The are from a pen with a silkie roo and two MF D'Uccle girls. I am hoping eventually to have silkied D'Uccles but this first go round I am just hoping for a mix of healthy boys and girls.
So happy I get to play along and so grateful to Ron for the digest! Thanks Happy Chooks for hosting the HAL. These are always such fun and upbeat threads!

Hopefully I will get another broody in time for the Cinco de Mayo HAL. I am a greedy woman!
@HappyChooks I sure hope it's one of each and will definitely let you know!

That sounds interesting, I just might have to try it!Since we're all talking about coffee, I'll share my absolute favorite way to drink it:
12 oz of your favorite coffee
1 Tbs. butter
1 Tbs. coconut oil
1-3 tsp. honey (leave out if you prefer no sweetener in your coffee)
1/4 tsp. vanilla
Throw it all in a blender, and blend for about 20-30 seconds. It will get foamy on top like a cappuccino. Mmmmm.![]()
I would have never thought to get a tetanus shot for a chicken bite. My Buff Orpingtons always bite my fingers and peck at my shoes and clothes. I've had gloves on all winter dealing with them, but come warmer weather, I might end up with a bunch in freezer camp if they persist.
I do not help chicks out either. I'm breeding for the strong as well. I have helped them out in the past, and every time I have ended up putting the chick down for one reason or another.I do not help them so if they pip the wrong end and do not get out then they were not meant to get out. One reason for this is the breeder I am hatching for does not want chicks like that.
