You are most welcome! Sally and Mike are doing a bunch of work too.
What if it is August?? (In the Northern Hemisphere60. Where should the eggs be placed in the car when taking them home?

91. How do you preserve embryos? Using formalin or glycerine and ethyl alcohol?
Embryos can be successfully preserved by storing them in an alcohol solution (3-4 drops of glycerine on embryo), then immerse in 70 percent alcohol (14 parts of 95 percent ethyl alcohol to 5 parts of water).
This is cool, I never knew it was that easy to preserve something, well there is that worm in the tequila!

Way back in the olden days, there were a couple of kids in 4-H that did stuff like this to preserve bugs for entomology. I tanned a snake skin using laundry detergent as a paste too.91. How do you preserve embryos? Using formalin or glycerine and ethyl alcohol?

is it a mini, a 20 or a 50?
can you empty out the Rcom and open it up all the way (as if you were cleaning it after a hatch) and maybe you will see if there is an obvious problem? like a piece of egg shell or paper towel might have gotten stuck on the gear teeth? if not can you turn it on while the top main unit is off and maybe while it is running you will be able to see an issue? I am new to the Rcoms myself, you have probably already done all of the above. maybe resetting it all the way? (holding the "set button" unplug and replug then release the "set" button) or I am sure this isn't the issue, but I know I can turn the "turn option" off, did that happen by accident? ...bummer I hope you can fix it easily.
Quote: I thought some of the answers were a little odd too but realized that some of the questions were designed for students that were hatching egg for a class in College--you must remember labs right?
The class must have been held in the winter in illinois.
It is a 20.
This morning when I checked, the stupid incubator was turning the eggs like nothing ever happened. So, now this is something I need to keep a close eye on, never knowing when it will stop again!
Last night I had done all the things you mentioned, short of removing the eggs. I even set it at each different turn sequence in case only one of them was glitching. I know it's very clean inside. I use it a lot but I clean it each time until it looks like new. Nothing seemed to help, and when I finally went to bed, it was still not working. I set up the other incubator last night, but am still waiting for it to stabilize.....After I'm done with these eggs, I'll take it totally apart and check that gear and belt if there is one.
Thanks for your help. I'd be interested to hear if yours ever do this...
