I really really do not understand the postal service. My eggs are coming from Florida to Alabama...little over a 2 hour drive. But they went west of the seller to go north of me. So they left on Tuesday and hopefully get here tomorrow, that's 4 days.

Should have just gone and gotten them myself...grrrrr.

I'm having problems with a 3 day old BO from my first hatch. I posted on the sick forum but everyone seems to be here. Please help me. He's very lethargic and just lays with his wings outstretched. Won't eat or drink. He was fine last night around 9. None of the others are having problems. How do I help him? This is my first time with young chicks. They are in a brooder in the garage and the temp under the lamps is staying between 90 - 95.

I ordered directly from them as well. I still want one, but figured I'd call to see if there's some other way to test or calibrate it, or get a replacement.
I just took my temperature with it...Steadily bounced between 97.9 & 98.0...................Thank Goodness I'M ALIVE!!!!

This is why I was afraid to order my goslings from a hatchery...It's too darn iffy. Instead I'll make the 4 hour round trip drive for them when I get the call that they've hatched.

Last year I ordered BLRW eggs from Oregon. They then got trucked North to Washington and then flown to Pennsylvania. Do you know all but 1 of those eggs hatched? Talk about miracles! There's hope, don't worry.

I ordered mine from brinsea too, I called them yesterday after hours by 10mins and left a message gonna call them again shortly. I hope it's just something easy to fix I want to use the new bator... More space for more eggs!!!

I contacted them via email and heard back the same day. They asked for a order number and date of purchase. I just wrote her back to say that they were ordered through Avianweb so I'm waiting to hear if I should be contacting them instead.

Received my eggs this morning :) barred rock from freds hens and buff barred bantam cochin from wwmicasa. Thanks for the great packing. Cant wait to set them. Come on Saturday.

Was it lethargic from hatch, or was it fine and now it's having issues? Was the yolk sac absorbed when it hatched? He could be too hot, try lowering the temperature. A brooder that is too hot will kill chicks very quickly. You can give him some sugar water too. Dribble a bit on his beak and watch until he swallows.
