Okay random question!!! Where in your house do you all run your incubators?

I am trying to figure out which room to do. With 3 kids I can't have grabby hands that are in reach of it. My older two know better but my youngest would yank it down and throw eggs at the dog or something. I was thinking about keeping it in our bedroom on the dresser. Our room stays pretty constant. However, I am imagining that on hatch day(s) everyone will want to be gathered around... AND I am thinking the peeping will keep us awake those last days?? Hmmm just not sure and was curious where everyone else's was :)
I use my closet; you might need a door you can lock though? Maybe child-safety-lock a closet? Anywhere else in my case and I think the cats and dogs would conspire to knock it down. But none of my saboteurs have the ability to open sliding doors.

I am fortunate to have an extra bedroom that has been turned into the "nursery" - door stays closed to keep cats out, and no small children to worry about. Many have used closets successfully, and even extra bathrooms or the basement.

This is what happens when I'm too busy to check BYC. Haven't been able too get on for over a week...

I think it might take a while to catch up.

Yes, that could take awhile.

I put mine in the corner of my basement, but I don't have children.

Last year i had it set on my sewing machine cabinet in the living room. I think that was a mistake though, even though it didnt get direct sun, there are a lot of windows in there and i think the temps fluctuated too much. When i set again in a couple weeks, i am going to put them in the basement. I think that is about the only place in the house where the temps dont change too badly.. from the kids leaving the front door open when its only 20 out.. etc!! PLus it is more humid down there, so that should help.. AND they will not be so readily seen and disturbed as often, might help my urge to check on them every hour of I have to go up and down the stairs!!

I'll tell you where NOT to put it....In the dining room where people tromp in and out of the back door all day and the wind whips in each time, and your 4 year old thinks we live in a barn :/ Can you tell where I put mine?

Lol! Yea between my kids and animals it would not survive our dining room.

I want one! Can I just buy one of the kiddie toy ones?

Yup that's what this one is! I tried every store locally and could not find one!! Ordered this on Amazon. Loved that it was small and wouldn't take up bator space :)
