I'm in! I will be hatching royal palms and my chicken mix. I wish I could find some EE's to do for this.

Make a new 'bator??????You know its pretty bad when you wake up and all you can think about is finding more fertile hatching eggs and figuring out how to sqeeze them into the incubator lol. I have absolutely no space left in the bator but I have such an urge to set more eggs. The first batch doesn't move from the bator until 3/10 and it will only open up 7 spaces. What to do what to do.
I generally have a big brooder and rotate babies in and out. THey start in a small brooder to learn about water and food , then a group is moved into the big brooder. SOme older pullets stay if they like to play mommy but otherwise older birds get moved out by 2 months, or sooner if weather is warm. Much depends on the amount of space and temperament of the birds.I have a question for those of you doing staggered hatches: How do you manage your brooders/space?
Last year I hatched and brooded one batch at a time, but this year I expect to be setting eggs every week. Do I need a brooder for each batch? How long can pass between the first chick hatched and the last one you can safely add to that brooder?
