https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/...-2014-easter-hatch-a-long/0_100#post_12971199
I'm so excited!!! This will be my first ever hatch.
So tiny.
I imagine Rooster Booster makes the Cock Birds feel better and have more energy. It will likely not make a nice mellow Herigate RIR(friendlies things on the Earth!) suddenly attack you.
Do not Fear the Rooster Booster!
I've skimmed and digest-ed. (that didn't read right the first way I typed it)![]()
I get to candle my eggs on Sunday night!!! I'm so excited to see how many of them are developing!!!![]()
I wiggle checked emu egg B. nothing so far, It's day 35 for it I believe![]()
I believe spring into summer. Warmer weather, places further south they may already be laying.I've been wanting to hatch peafowl for quite some time. Some friends have a pair of indi blues that hatched some chicks out last year. I would gladly buy some eggs from them if there hen starts laying again, Does anyone know about what time peafowl lay?
Please post in contest thread. here: https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/...l-byc-easter-hatch-a-long/0_100#post_129713978,426 is what im guessing for the hatch on easter

Well, my luck ran out today. I walked out on my back porch to the screams of my chickens. The sound was coming from everywhere, but not a bird in sight. I took off running and a huge hawk flew up off of the ground right in front of me. He had already gotten one of my little Cuckoo D'Anver roo's.Then the fun started because I had to round up 30 chickens and get them all locked up in their coops. After about 45 minutes of slipping and sliding in slushy, icy, chicken poop filled mud...we finally got them all inside.
I learned that my kids are only help for the first 15 minutes of any job, and then promptly turn into whiney spoiled brats
. All of my runs are in ruins, and the gates are frozen deep into the ground. It's supposed to be in the 50's tomorrow finally, and my poor babies will be locked up because Ray has to work. What a day.... Have I mentioned yet that I hate hawks??? Oh, I used to be a hawk lover too....pre chicken farmer.
END OF RANT!![]()

Oh, I'm so sorry. I too have lost birds to hawks.Well, my luck ran out today. I walked out on my back porch to the screams of my chickens. The ad was aimed at those whom partake of the Sport we cannot name.
My girls may be beach babes but they are respectable girls from old families and are not into such spring break behavior.Surely you get rain though for a Wet Poultry Contest?![]()
