Holy cow! I can't even imagine hand turning that many eggs...or dealing with that many chicks at once for that matter!

I know right? Can you imagine watching for pasty butt? Ugh!

Yay!! I'm so excited! Just finished constructing my homemade incubator and I'm still in the process of building my automatic egg turner! I'll be setting 1 dozen mixed breed duck eggs on the 22nd! The mix includes runners, rouens, blue/black Swedish, cayugas, and appleyards! :D

Looks great to me. Looks like you have had it high lighted. I love the red..I was doing mine red up until a couple of years ago. I still have a bottle under the sink..that I bought just a few months ago. I'm trying to decide if I really want to bother with the keeping it up again. I've kind of gotten used to my grey coming in.

Have fun...you will love baby chicks!

Feels like spring here. Nice weather..the sky is blue!

Had someone come and plug our yard..hmm..that sounded funny. Anyway, aerated our lawn. And, had it fertilized/weed feed. I hope I can get rid of some of that morning glory in the yard.

The first Ancona from my flock has hatched!

I hatched my parent stock last spring from eggs from @sarasweatman. The babies hatching now are the first from those babies. Sara, your duckies have a grandbaby!!!
