I'm having a friend send me a dozen from the small flock they own she has gorgeous birds with dark mahogany feathers, they seem a little longer in body then some of the heritage Rhode Island reds though, especially her rooster. I don't know if that's normal for the line or not? if its not I'm going to try and hatch some eggs from a well known breeder and hopefully correct the issue through breeding. I'm not very familiar with the different lines or strains out there but these are Mohawk bloodline birds and they are so dang pretty, sweet, and hers are great layers, so what the hay!

Hope I get a good hatch I want my own little flock!

It depends on how long the tail is. The body needs to make brick shape and the tail is not supposed to go up more than 20%.

I am very excited to see the little chunks hatch for you!

My boys got to watch this little guy hatch with me - 21 yo laughed and said "Ha I didn't even have to watch it all day long either, just walked by and said hey look its hatching." Brat. - Now all 3 are wanting to get a cute little emu. I am like yeah, everyone is afraid of a little bitty 10 pound rooster in the yard, I could just see them with a 150 pound 6 foot tall bird chasing them!
