Less than a week to go!These baby pictures are sooo making me want some fluffy butts of my own. Set day seems so far away!
Welcome!I'll be joining the 2014 Hatch-a-long! Black cochins and buff orpington's.
Cuties Ron!
Eggs are darker than most, but lighter than Welsummers and Marans. They are glossy with a coppery coloring. 4th and 5th row back are barnevelder eggs.Quote:OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG I am SOLD!!!!! I love that black with the rust!!! whodathunk!!! what color eggs light tan dark? pink purple red orange who cares they are lovely!! are they a large bird?
This is a nice Barnie egg.
Well, Easter is coming up..............send the kids out on an Easter egg hunt.Just went to go gather eggs also.. Not as many as I was expecting. Have been letting them out to free range, think they may be hiding a nest. Problem is with 10 1/2 acers it is hard to look in every little place... Will have to go back out and try again. Not really what I wanna do when I feel like crap but gotta do what we gotta do. Ate two cloves of garlic earlier, was told it might help...
Oh congrats to everyone who's birds finally started laying.~~ cutting it close aren't they!..![]()

Mixes are fun too, and they make the best layers!I ordered eggs but I think I am going to fill up the rest of the bator with my own as well. Don't have great luck with shipped eggs and definitely want some to hatch, so I will be giving some chicks away.
Love to see what some of the breeds will give me. So I will have an interesting time seeing what hatches.![]()
Awesome, nice gift from hubby!Looks like I will be setting way more eggs than I thought. DH just sent me an email (from the other end of the couch, no less) notifying my that this
will be arriving Tuesday!. I was just going to use my handy dandy mini eco...but, wow!Lay, girls lay!!!![]()
