I have old friends from when we were in the military that live in Tulsa. Are you anywhere near there? Just curious.....

About 90 miles I live N if Okla City and S of Guthrie. We have about 65 acres. I have peacocks and guineas. I am afraid to have chickens because they can carry a parasite they is detrimental to peafowl; and they cannot defend themselves. I have seen bobcats and coyotes!

Yes I have heard of Bobcats and coyote being in the area. My friend also says they have cougar and there is a rumor of a panther... Their last name is DeLong, who knows maybe you have heard of the name. Lol.
Never heard of anyone having problems with having chickens and peafowl together. Course I don't have any peafowl yet so I can't say much...

It is called a coccal worn and carries a parasite which causes Blackhead.

My CCL eggs are on the way. :) Woot! I am looking forward to an autosexing breed for my laying flock. Always a sucker for those blue eggs in the basket.

I needed more eggs for the Easter Hatch. NEEDED, I say. :D
